The World cup is over.
However, the Official Fantasy Premier League game is back for the 2018/19 Season.
And now, by the power of Litecoin (LTC), you can enter a global money league and compete for dosh no matter where in the world you are based; Europe, The States, OZ, Southern Yemen – it’s all the same.
The cost is low to enter a team at 0.12 LTC. This is around USD$10 today based on current LTC price.
Many crypto coins are cheap to purchase as the crypto market has been in a bearish cycle for quite some time now. For example 0.12 LTC would have been worth around $35 in December, 2017.
Breakdown of Fee:
0.10 LTC will go into the prize pool.
0.02 LTC will be held in a reserve to cover transaction fees during prize distributions.
Depending on the size of the pool we might decide to do monthly prizes for highest scoring team along with the end of season prize for 1st, 2nd and 3rd (possibly winnings for top 10 again dependant on no. of entries)
Shoot me an email on firstname.lastname@example.org after joining and I will add you to the distribution list, for weekly game updates and current standings.
FAQ’s (for those who have never used cryptocurrency before):
This will be a great way for any FPL-obsessed, but crypto-illiterate peeps to learn how blockchain and cryptocurrency actually works and how it will revolutionize the way we transact with each other!
While I consider myself crypto-obsessed, I am probably FPL-illiterate based on my past seasons record’s.
FAQ – What is Litecoin?
Litecoin (LTC) is an alternative cryptocurrency modelled on Bitcoin which was launched in 2011. LTC boasts faster transaction times and lower fees. Like many other crypto’s LTC allows for a borderless and almost instantaneous exchange of value without the need for a middle man, such as a bank. Here is a post I did to help beginners get to grips with cryptocurrency basics.
FAQ – How do I buy some Litecoin?
Coinbase may be your easiest route depending on where you live. It is quick to join and you can buy using a debit/credit card, once registered. Here is an article with alternative buying platforms.
FAQ – How do I send my entry fee?
The wallet address is Leu1AksPGJNmw9wM11SC
Please email me (email@example.com) with your name and/or team name along with your Public wallet address before sending the transaction. That way I can see you’ve paid on the blockchain.
You do not have to send me anything yet if you are not comfortable doing so – just go ahead and join the league first and concentrate on creating your fantasy team.
Due to the openness and transparency of blockchain technology, all the entry fee transactions to/from the wallet are visible to the public. bchain.info is one of many tools that can be used to see the inflows and outflows. I am organizing this league for fun, not to make a profit or to scam my own friends! 🙂
Reach out to me if you need any help sending the transaction before the August deadline.
More details to follow soon.
